My name is Scott Stewart. I am a proud native Detroiter, a passionate image maker, and one who loves to connect with people; especially while taking their picture.
My approach and creative process is often reserved and thoughtful, always striving to portray an honest representation of my subject’s character, style, and beauty.
Focusing on lifestyle and portraiture imagery, my goal is to exceed an art director's vision when creating a story within a single frame, even if it’s the story of a close up on a person’s face or hands.
When I am behind the camera, my roles can range from being a director, a cheerleader and a fly on a wall to an interviewer, a soothsayer and a therapist; but most of all I focus on being intuitively attuned and connected to my subject.
I have put in at least 10,000 hours of dedication towards my craft and the more I know, the more I want to discover.
